Aguape Lodge is a simple, yet comfortable base from which to explore the biodiverse Ibera wetlands. The lodge has a traditional and rustic feel. The 12 rooms are all comfortable, and have air-conditioning to fight off the humidity of the region. The standard rooms are a little small, and we advise opting for a superior room as they are substantially larger and represent geater value for money.The hotel has a small pool, and a private jetty which makes exploring the wetlands easy and convenient as you depart and return to the lodge.
Aguape Lodge - Ibera Wetlands Activities
This lodge is situated at the heart of the waterways, a perfect location to experience wildlife spotting on the banks of the river and in the unique habitat that surrounds the lodge. Some opt to take to the waterways in canoe in search for some of the 360 species of birds for whom these wetlands are home. You may also spot caiman, pampas deer, moneys and much more. If canoeing is not your thing, then take a safari-like drive in a 4x4, swim through the waters being dragged by horses (!) or don your hiking boots and go exploring on foot.
