A little hotel built around a small swimming pool and gardens. Puka Vai is a good base from which to explore the mythical Easter Island.
Hotel Puka Vai - The Details
Easter Island is all about the remote location and day's spent exploring and learning about the history and theories of the island. This hotel is a good little option from which to relax after a days exploration. The 13 rooms are all airy and comfortable for a few nights whilst exploring Easter Island. They are not the most luxurious of hotels, but being so remote in the middle of the Pacific, most people that venture out here have a bit of an adventurous spirit and accommodation is not always a priority whilst in Easter Island. Rooms come complete with Wi-Fi (although it can be a little temperamental), mini bars and air conditioning.
The hotel also has a number of facilities to make your stay pleasant. From the outdoor unheated pool, to a small bar that opens in the evenings.
Hotel Puka Vai - Activities
Aside from discovering the 887 moia statues and the often windswept island by day. In the evenings it is about relaxing, making having a flick through your photos from the day and socialising with the other guests. Usually three nights on Easter Island is sufficient time to explore, discover and learn all about it.
