An off the beaten track barefoot luxury eco lodge located on a 400 hectare private and protected nature reserve in the extremely biodiverse and majestic Osa Peninsula.
This gorgeous lodge is accessed by boat from Golfo Dulce where the large main house has been constructed with wood. There is a delicious restaurant on the property and the menu is Costa Rican with lots of sea food delights. The pool is fresh water and chemical free and an absolute dream to plunge into after a hot trek along one of the nature trails.
Rooms are airy with large screens so where you can enjoy the views and immerse yourself into the wild habitat which surrounds you. There is lots of varnished reclaimed wood and brightly coloured furnishings that have been designed to resemble the colourful parrots, birds and flowers around the property.
The rooms, in keeping with the sustainability ethos, do not have air conditioning, but the sea breezes and screens keep the hotel cool at night. All rooms have a king sized bed and plenty of space to feel comfortable. There are three categories:
Deluxe Rooms have king- sized beds and partial ocean views.
Luxury Rooms are similar to the Deluxe Rooms but with better ocean views and forest views.
Premium Rooms are the largest and boast fantastic panoramic views.
Being in such a special place means it would be a shame to stay at the lodge all the time – although it is tempting. The expert guides offer a range of exploratory excursions that include heading out into the bay in search of playful dolphins, trekking through the protected Piedras Blancas National Park, kayaking through the dense mangrove systems, deep sea fishing at dawn and dusk nature trails. Being a humid location means that an afternoon or two relaxing by the pool or beach whilst being accompanied by the resident monkeys, parrots and hummingbirds is a fun way to chill whilst staying here.
