Letty - The Details
Eric is a good quality boat that has a classic Galapagos style with polished teak interiors and lots of brass. In 2008, Eric was upgraded to become one of the islands' first hybrids; they experimented with installing solar panels and wind turbines, to great success.
Eric is a family-friendly although it is generally recommended for children to be at least 7 years old on all departures. During the school holidays they run ‘Family Friendly’ departures in which the excursions are altered a little to be more child friendly, and during these voyages they love welcoming young explorers as young as 5 years old.
Accommodation includes ten outside-facing cabins with a window or porthole view. There’s a dining room, well-stocked bar and conference area with a flat screen TV, library and panoramic picture windows. Or you can relax in a lounge chair on the sun deck, enjoying sea breezes or a night cap under the stars.
Internally the boat is a little dark adn selecting the correct cabin is paramount.
