M/V Galapagos Sky purely specialises in diving the Galapagos Islands. The 7-night cruise offers approximately 17 dives (of course, weather dependent). Galapagos is temperamental and M/V Galapagos Sky emphasises that you need to be an Advanced Diver with over 50 open water dives under your belt. You should be confident in temperatures ranging from 60’s to upper 70’s in varying current strengths and to have the ability to do negative back roll entries. Cruises include three landings on Bartolome, Santa Cruz and San Cristobel.
There are eight comfortable, yet not overly spacious cabins; 4 are twin, 4 are double configuration. They are comfortable for a night and come complete with hot and cold water, storage facilities and dive platforms with fresh water showers. The boat also provides equipment and camera rentals, gear storage, Nitrox, and fresh warm towels after every dive. There are two dive masters.
Originally built in 2001, M/V Galapagos Sky later underwent a much-needed modernisation remodelling. We can happily say that this boat is now the best specialist diving boat. The living room, the sundeck and little library are all fantastic places to rest and unwind after an exciting day under the water.
Breakfast and lunch are typically hearty buffets, and your evening meal has wine and beer included and is served by the onboard crew. The food is tasty and varied, ensuring that you are full of energy.
