Patio Andaluz is a good hotel located in the historical quarter of Quito, Ecuador. A competitively priced and charming hotel that suits those looking for a well-placed hotel with an abundance of charm.
The Details - Patio Andaluz
You can expect a historical attitude from a hotel that dates back to the XVI century; Patio Andaluz used to be a mansion, and the overall feel of the hotel remains of a historical nature with original art work, antique and style. The furniture is dark, wooden colonial pieces and there are antiques throughout the hotel. This old-fashioned boutique hotel is a charming option in which to base yourself whilst exploring Ecuador's capital city, especially if you prefer older charm rather than contemporary chic. Some clients have commenteed that it does need a little modernising and a lick of paint, this is probably too, but the owners are very cautious to maintain the historical feel.
The hotel is built around an inner courtyard where breakfast is served. There is also a small bar and a restaurant that is open in the evenings from 7pm. Being located in the historic quarter of Quito we can also suggest lots of local restaurants.
Patio Andaluz- Accommodation
The 21 rooms are spacious and furnished with dark wooden wardrobes and wooden floors, giving the feeling of traditional and old fashioned grace. Neither the rooms nor the hotel, are super luxurious and do not have all the mod-cons of some of the other options, nevertheless we like this hotel due to the friendly ambience and competitive price.
