    How much does a South American family holiday cost?


    This is a difficult one! With so many options and different styles and countries to choose from, it is hard to give an accurate answer. The beauty of South America is that there is such variety; there are different accommodation options to suit all budgets, so we can mix and match your options to create a perfect itinerary within your budget. Paying for the kids is not cheap, but use our expert advice for the best planning and reassurance. As a rough guide though, a family holiday to Costa Rica can begin from $2,800 per person (£2,075). At the top end of the scale, two weeks in Chile could cost $13,500 per person (£10,000), and we can devise itineriaries for everything in between!


    When to go on a South American family holiday 


    Most families have windows of opportunity for long haul travel at Easter, in the summer months, and over the festive Christmas period.  If this is the case for your family holiday, then a few of our favourite and proven family holidays are spending Easter on a Galapagos cruise or in the Costa Rican jungle, summer is ideal for Peru and Christmas is a good time to explore Patagonia, Argentina and Central America.
