The Plancius is all about exploration and discovery led by their expert team who are often specialists in their fields of research. Disembarking the boat for expeditions is speedy as they have twin gangways for the zodiacs.
The boat is not luxurious, but it is clean, comfortable and the rooms are adequate. Comparable to a 3 star hotel. Colours are neutral and unobtrusive, and minimalistic is style.
The main dining area where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served also doubles up as a briefing and lecture room. Aboard there is also a small library, an indoor observation lounge with panoramic windows and outdoor space.
In total there are 53 cabins. There are 6 different types of cabin that carry in size, windows or portholes and positioning on the boat. All are en suite and good for a place to sleep.
