The RCGS Resolute (Royal Canadian Geographical Society) is a beautiful and modern ship that was purpose built in Finland in 1993 for the conditions of Antarctica. This ship is a good option that combines adventures with high levels of comforts.

This speedy, big and sturdy ship has the highest ice strengthened hull available (A1s). Meaning that earlier on in the season when the ice is yet to fully break up enabling you to experience Antarctica at its whitest easier than other boats.
There is capacity for 146 passengers on board this comfortable ship that is not quite fully expedition, nor is it a complete luxury cruise, but a combination of the two. The guides are experts and ensure that your experience of this wonderful area comes first, the luxuries like the sauna, pool, spacious cabins and lounging areas add a level of comfort.
All of the cabins are outward facing and have a traditional feel with darker colours and varnished wood and fluffy carpets, large comfortable beds, desk and the larger suites have sitting areas and a flat screen TV.
