The Andes are a colossal chain of mountains that run from Colombia in the north through Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. These mountains boast one of the worlds most famost famous treks- the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru. Aside from Machu Picchu you may find the W and French Valley trek in Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia. With so many mountains you can find a variety of treks where you camp at night, or retreat back to the comforts of your luxury hotel.

If you love horses, then there is nothing on earth like riding through the Andes - it is a completely once-in-a-lifetime experience. Whether you are in Argentina, land of the Gauchos, in the Peruvian Andes or the Chilian Lake District, riding in this continent is unbeatable. English saddles are not as popular as the Gaucho American saddles but they can be found; you must just remember that these horses speak a different language...!
 

South America offers some of the best diving in the world; there is an absolutely huge range of underwater sights at which to marvel. You might see whales and seals in the cold waters of Argentina's Valdes Peninsula, turtles and mantas in Brazil's Abrolhos Marine Park and even hammerhead sharks in the Galapagos. It is so varied and interesting that, in our opinion, a diving trip around South America is pretty much unbeatable and could be repeated with variety ad infinitum. 

Winding your way down the Amazonian rivers and through bushy jungles in a boat is another extraordinary lifetime experience. Riverboating is a uniquely Amazonian experience and a great way to see wildlife along the way. There seems no better way to safari! The Galapagos Islands are best explored on a luxury Galapagos Cruise, sailing merrily around the unique archipelago. There are a number of boats, itineraries and options available for ways to do this.
