Anavilhanas Lodge is the most comfortable jungle lodges in the Brazilian Amazon located adjacent to the Rio Negro River.
Four hours by road or a 50 minute small plane flight from Manaus take you into the heart of this biodiverse pocket of the Amazon jungle. Being so close to the water not only gives wonderful safari and wildlife exploration opportunities, but it also creates an inhospitable environment for biting insects due to the acidity of the water.
There are 20 private and spacious bungalows (16 suites and 4 deluxe) that all have air conditioning, private decks with hammocks and ample room for relaxing in after a days exploring or relaxing by the pool. The bungalows are made out of wood and are extremely comfortable considering the remoteness of the lodge.
The lodge has a refreshing pool that feels like heaven after a trek in the humid environment. At the main communal area that has views out over the canopy and down towards the meandering Amazon there is a bar, a dining area, a pool table and a lounging area.
The food is all included as part of your stay and you can expect good quality and variety.
Their in house expert guides know run daily excursions that range from early morning birdwatching, twilight trekking, piranha fishing and visits to nearby Brazilian Amazon indigenous groups.
